Captain Ninja, Bored Shadowrunner by CaptainNinja Captain Ninja, Bored Shadowrunner by CaptainNinja
You, old school Shadowrun player. Be honest.

Waiting for the netrunner while he does his cyberspace thingie was always a pain, uh?

My old Shadowrun group's GM, god bless his soul, had home ruled the matrix rules...in essence they became similar to D&D 4e Skill Encounters or Savage Worlds Dramatic Tasks rules, anyway in addition he liked to play a 3 strikes rule, one strike: the system had been alerted to an intrusion and was on passive alert, two strike: active alert and ICE was actively looking for you, 3 strikes: not only had the ICE located you, you'd either have to deal with it, or CorpSec was about to make a rather unpleasant arrivial. Granted, it wasn't perfect but it speed up Matrix rules so quickly. Which is a shame because the very thing that makes SR unique, besides magic, was the Matrix and it was a nightmare to ever do.

Freaking Decker and his whole freaking mini-game. It was like a separate campaign, all that Matrix drek.

That's exactly the same in CP2020... XD And it would be a Problem in any Fantasy Game, when the Shaman of the group makes a Spirit-Travel-whatever...

Luckily my group doesn't have a decker/netrunner... They always hire a NPC. MUCH more easier for EVERYONE! ;)
